Debts are split !! Sell the house and all other unnecessary assets ASAP !! Ditch the lawyer obviously not helping u!! Call family law office and speak to someone there they are very helpful

   

I listened to my lawyer as well. Everyone told me i got bad advice. Ive been in your shoes before. It gets better only if you stay strong though. Careful with the suicide talk you could loose visitation with your kids. Keep strong bud

   

Your lawyer gave you bad advice you should have never stopped paying your debts. I would put in a application of stay of enforcement for a 90 day period get yourself some breathing room you would still have to pay your monthly support but would give you a few months to stable yourself

   

if u go on sick leave . u can take her court and get 5he child support lowered . if u have txt messages . save everything and get a diary going. qrite everything down . make a case because u will see it fall in place soon

   

I've just settled my own divorce case in Ontario Canada. I am not a lawyer. Your going to have to protect yourself as much as possible.
a) Fire your lawyer now and find a new one
b) Lawyers can be had on limited retainer - this means you self represent. This is far cheaper for you in the long run.
c) Your family doctor should recommend a Psychologist which in Ontario is covered by OHIP. Get on the list immediately .. A Walk-in Clinic Doctor can also make the recommendation. 
d) Take the Medical Stress Leave. You need it.
f) Breath, you are going to make it. 
g) With your new limited retainer lawyer discuss your next options.
h) Keep reaching out to friends and family in real life and here.

I got hit with the same thing. Was forced to pay what I made at the time of marriage, year before we seperated and despite a major business loss and having to find work for a way lesser income. I would recommend a new lawyer as mep should be doing a recalc on your income, expenses etc. I would also seek 50/50 custody, you'll never recieve sole custody unless she walks away but from what I've been told most judges are more welcomed to 50/50 then support now anyway. It's a tough battle. I do it with 2 different moms.

   

We have lived this life the last 3yrs.. I'm sorry it's happening to you too.. We paid $2680 a month wtf his income was same as urs. $100,000 and $60,000 without ot. Now his income is at $50,000 and if ur income changes get a notice of motion right away don't wait

Get records of every last dime (or as much as you can), that was shared between you two when you lived together. Couch, tv, vehicles, everything. Drag her ass into court and show the Judge every last sent owed while you two were together. And then tell the judge that she ran out on all of it. Don't let your lawyer speak for you in this regard because he will want an automatic 10K bill to do anything about property and debt splitting. Make sure to bring proof of every child support payment as well. Also if you have debt collections calling, give them your exs number and have them go after her for the money

   

Sell everything that was in your name, house, vehicle, cancel Bill's and focus on yourself for a change. Get a different lawyer...that guy sounds useless. Go back to court and apply for sole custody of your kids 2018 man, there are a lot of single dads out there in far worse situations than yourself. Need some tough love: Get Over Yourself.

I'm sorry for what.your going thru. If you were married to her you can argue the fact that all debts during the marriage should be split between the 2 of you. At for everything else I'd say your doing pretty good. My fiance makes just as much as you at 95k and he pays 867 in child support and 962 for spousal support. His take home was only 2700 a month after he paid support and we have a new child as well. So all I can say is count your blessing you sont pay the high end of the support table per month. We the staggering legal fees that he pays hes still in for a fight cause of matrimonial moneys from 5 years ago which is stupid but it's a fight these women will go thru just to crush a man. I hope things get better for you I truly do. Keep your head up and dont stlp fighting. It's okay to lose some battles that is life but dont give up.
