Maybe the doctor is acting responsible. Knowing that the courts are just making more work then needed. I see most judges do not want to make a ruling. They find ways to grind down the resolve of the parties. This one way of doing that. Prolong and delay and put the family though the meetgrinder. They seen afraid to make rulings over what may happen and not what has happened.

   

It seems more and more outside entities getting involved in these situations and are all shoving people in the same direction "get it to court." Why In gods name is a doctor now involving himself in the process and also forcing a father to pay and fight for what should be a right? Unless there is an order stating the father is not to have access to a child's medical records or information there should be no reason he can't be involved. Find a new doctor and maybe out this one!

   

I would disagree with John, repectfully. When a judge makes a medical recomendation is is just that, a recomendation. Judges are legal experts, doctors are medical experts. Psyc exams can be very uncomfortavle for a child, the medical expert must weight the potential for damage against the potential for good. It sounds like in this case the doctor determined the potential for damage out weighed the potential for good. He or she maybe wrong on that, especially if the doctor was missing info but the judge will resepect a fellow proffessionaly experts opinion. If you feel the doctor was wrong, ask the judge to re issue the order with a detailed list of the reasons that you feel the doctor did not know. It will still be the primary care doctors opinion that matters in the end.

   

I m not a lawyer, but i was married to one, seriously. Honestly, the doctors opinion here as to do or don t do the what the court requires is a breach of the court order, i d look at getting a lawyer on this as well as the judge issuing a direct order to the doctor to comply
