I was at a Prof. Dev. Day seminar for the sch. Bd. and one of the guest speakers was from CAS. She was telling us to call them ASAP if we suspected abuse or neglect so they can interrogate them before they go home. Isn't this illegal without parental consent? Shouldn't a parent be there to support their child through such a traumatic experience? I get it if the claims are outrageous, but Isn't it a better idea to give the parents resources (help) instead?
