All he ever wanted was to see his his children. Equal rights to his girls. But instead Ian killed his ex wife then killed himself a few days after a day in court as he was accused again of further allegations. And just couldn't cope with it any more. R.I.P Ian i will miss you "

I know this may not be a popular post, but I have a few things to say: Craziness and outlandish behavior does nothing to garner support, or change things. People vandalizing, climbing on buildings or landmarks, standing with crazy signs only makes us look like degenerates. If we want to have things change, we need to change perception. Just this last week, one of the speakers (who is a professional dealing with Fatherlessness in society) we had scheduled at our local Fatherless Day event cancelled. Why? Because of the crazy factor and not wanting to be seen associated with it. Rallies are great (if well attended and positive-not hate filled).

They can garner publicity (and we need positive publicity, not negative). Senators and members of The House dont want to work with people acting angry, or crazy. Will they work with people who dress appropriately? Behave normally? Have facts? YES. AND THAT IS WHAT WE NEED.

The sad reality is - there are more deadbeat fathers than good ones (in the single world of course). That's why there IS such outrage on a sentence like this and there SHOULD be more attention to the good ones and making sure they get what they should and not get screwed over.

Family courts can screw both sexes over. If you don't believe it, you haven't seen a mother lose custody to foster care for allegations that were never proven and spending years to get them back. Absent fathers ARE more common and they deserve to be dealt with for creating life and ditching it.

That doesn't mean we should let the crap ones go so the good ones don't get caught up in it, it means we should improve the system for the good ones.
