if a person has an OCL report that contains significant errors which has resulted in harm to children as a result, the justice review committee may consider reviewing it. Such an example would be where an OCL investigator may recommend that children be placed into the care of their abuser with subsequent harm. The person must be willing to go public with a letter to all the MPP's in Ontario and to have their report posted on public media once the committee does the review and confirms significant errors and omissions causing harm to children as a result of the OCL investigator's recommendations. The person would also be assisted to file a complaint with the College of Social workers in Ontario. If the children are old enough the committee would also request private video interviews with the children to confirm that abuse has resulted from the work of the OCL investigator. |
