So I focused on being a better me, the rest kind of follows behind. And though you may never get things the way you want them, the more you work on yourself the easier it is to accept the things you can not change and to work on the things you can!
The first step for me was three small things I asked of myself every day. To get out of bed, make my bed and open the curtains to let the light in..
It was a struggle but those three small things changed a lot for me! At very least I stopped feeling sorry for myself and my situation and started doing something... I am five years out.. Things still are not the way I wanted but wow have I come a long way and in some ways things are better than they were. Life won't be perfect, but how you choose to survive the hard parts is in fact a matter of choice.. Best of luck to you! Get up.. Start there...
